帝國理工學院
帝國理工學院(Imperial College)成立于1907年，曾是聯邦大學倫敦大學的一個加盟學院。學院于2007年7月正式脫離倫敦大學成為一所獨立的大學，簡稱帝國理工，也稱 倫敦帝國學院(Imperial College London)，羅素大學集團成員之一。帝國理工學院與牛津大學、劍橋大學、倫敦政治經濟學院、倫敦大學學院并成為“G5”精英大學。“G5”精英大學， 代表著英國大學的最高學術水平。作為一個專精于科學技術和醫學的大學，帝國理工和麻省理工在全世界享有同等的聲譽，研究水平被公認為是英國大學的三甲之 列。
帝國理工提供本科和研究生教育，共有五個學院，工程學院，醫學院，自然科學院，生命科學院和商學院。除此之外，還有一個人文系，提供選修的政治，經 濟，歷史，藝術和語言課程。 通常被認為是英國最嚴格的大學，它授予一等學位的比例和每年的淘汰率都十分引人矚目，盡管它是英國入學標準最高的大學之一。
帝國理工一貫在英國各種大學排名中名列三甲。綜合近來各種大學排名數據，盡管帝國理工是專攻科學的大學，它仍然能夠占據綜合排名第三的位置，同時排在許多工程和醫學院排名的榜首。
從世界上來說，泰晤士報高等教育增刊的2007全球大學排名表顯示，帝國理工世界總體排名第五，在工程和信息技術世界排名第六位(歐洲第二)，醫學世界排名第七，科學世界排名第十三，金融專業排名世界第十三，商學院排名在歐洲名列前茅。
